Dr. Ashok Seth is Chairman, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, Chairman, Fortis Healthcare Medical Council and Associate Professor, Department of Cardiology, JN Medical College (Aligarh Muslim University) and National Examination Board.
Dr. Seth has led the field of interventional cardiology for the last 40 years and has contributed greatly to the development, scientific progress and education in this field and has also pioneered several angioplasty techniques in India and the Asia-Pacific region.
Dr. Seth received his PhD from six reputed national universities: BHU, AMU, Jamia Millia Islamia, Amti, Shiv Nadar and Tirthankar Mahavir University.
He has been awarded the title of Associate Professor of Cardiology by JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University and National Examination Council.
He is the founder/director of five major national and international training courses on angioplasty – India Live, India Valves, CHIP-CTO India, AICT-Asia PCR and Council of Imaging and Physiology of India.
He is also Deputy Director of TCT Scientific Sessions (USA) and a member of the EuroPCR Program Committee.
Dr. Seth has been invited to lecture at over 450 national and international conferences and teach complex angioplasty techniques through live demonstration at over 100 national and international conferences around the world, including the prestigious TCT conference in the USA (including Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapy) EuroPCR. Lives in Singapore in Paris and Singapore. He has over 350 publications in peer-reviewed Indian and international medical journals, has 30 book chapters on cardiology and has edited 3 books.
He is a renowned educator and has trained more than 500 cardiologists in India and abroad in advanced angioplasty techniques.
