About Dr. Sushant Srivastava
- Dr. Sushant Srivastava is a cardiovascular surgeon of national repute. His areas of expertise include beating heart bypass, single, double and triple valve repair and replacement, aortic aneurysm surgery including endovascular intervention, as well as complex vascular procedures on the aorta, carotid arteries and vessels of the lower extremities.
- He achieved national prominence by performing a successful bypass operation on a 96-year-old patient, possibly the oldest patient ever to have undergone this operation. His total experience now exceeds 10,000 cases.
- He trained in Cardiovascular Surgery at the prestigious AIIMS in New Delhi, completed his Master’s degree from CTVS in 1994 and then continued with the faculty as an Associate Professor until September 1998.
- He was actively involved in the AIIMS program for heart transplantation and ventricular assist devices and was responsible for working with donors. At AIIMS, he participated in the first and subsequent 10 heart transplants in the country.
- The vast experience and training of the institute has made them experts in the field of pediatric cardiac surgery.
