- Padma Bhushan Dr. T. S. Kler is currently serving as Chairman & HOD – BLK-Max Heart & Vascular Institute, Chairman Pan Max – Electrophysiology – Heart & Vascular Institute.
- Dr. Kler received his MBBS from Patiala Medical College and his MD and MD in Cardiology from PGI Chandigarh.
- He completed his MRCP in the UK and then returned to India in 1989 and was one of the founding doctors of the Escort Heart Institute, where he spent 28 years and was its executive director for the last 12 years of its existence.
- He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) of the UK and the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He is a Life Member of IMA, CSI, ICC, API, IHRS and HRS. His last appointment was as Chairman of the PSRI Heart Institute at PSRI Hospital, New Delhi.
- Dr. Keller is a very active interventional cardiologist and has performed over 25,000 coronary, renal, carotid and peripheral angioplasties. He is a pioneer in the field of electrophysiology and founded the first dedicated electrophysiology department in India at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute.
- He started the radiofrequency ablation program at Escorts in 1993.
- He was the first doctor in India to implant ICD, CRT-P and CRT-D. The company also launched the first HIS package in India in 2015.
- He was instrumental in launching radiofrequency ablation and cardiac device implantation programs at several centers in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
